"Kim manages to integrate her pearly virtuosity in a great poetic imagination. She was never out to astound the audience by her technical skills only even during the most complicated piano feats. In Kim, there is the utmost balance between technical refinement and great spiritual expressivity. ..." - translation from Marrten Brandt, Arnhemse Courant, March 1984

"... There was a remarkable talent at the grand piano that manages to captivate the audience continually with an unusual program. ... Kim disposes of a beneficially rich varied toucher, an essential characteristic that was to define the expressivity of the whole recital. With her remarkable technical skill, she almost recreates every composition. ... it becomes most clear that in Wonmi Kim, a brilliant virtuosity and intense musicality are combines. ..." - translation from Wil Kox, De Nieuwe Krant, March 1984

"... All of the perfume of Vienna, of the waltzes of Strauss, and of that historic period are found in the exquisite musical skills of this Korean pianist... ...after the first notes of Berg's Sonata Op 1, the audience at the Rossini Theatre knew it was listening to an exceptional talent, that of Wonmi Kim, winner of the last Franz Liszt competition..." - translation from Alberto Spano, il nuovo diario messaggero, February 1989
